The emails Twitter send when a new “person” starts following you have been updated to give more information about them including their bio, how many people follow them, how many they follow etc.

I think this is a great move by Twitter. I have to admit the old style emails didn’t really serve me any purpose. Yes I got the persons name but that didn’t really tell me anything about them unless I then decided to go look at their profile. So potentially I have missed out on following some great people.

So thanks Twitter! Hopefully that won’t happen anymore.
